Fair business practice
1. Sellers are not permitted to bid on their own items
Sellers are not permitted to place bids on their own submissions. To that end, our system ensures that sellers are unable to place bids on items submitted using their own accounts.
2. The highest bidder wins
For all of ZERO WORLDS’s auctions, if a bid is placed in the last minute, the bidding window is automatically increased by 60 seconds. This gives other bidders enough time to place a counter-bid and you won’t be required to wait till the final seconds start ticking away before placing your bids. ZERO WORLD always provides a clear indication of which bidder placed the highest or winning bid. All winning bidders receive a confirmation email indicating they’ve won as soon as the auction ends.
3. Employees not allowed to sell at auction
No employees, directly involved in the evaluation and curation of lots, nor their family members, are allowed to sell lots on ZERO WORLD.
4. Seller IDs are required
If users wish to sell objects on ZERO WORLD, they may be asked for a scan or photograph of a valid proof of identification (government-issued photo ID). The information on the proof of identification, which clearly shows at least the full name, date of birth and ID (document) number, is required.
